Inspiring local Exploration: Overland Experience Grounds at MIAS 2026

The Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) has always stood as a true gathering for those who love all types of mobility. MIAS transcends the normal for what is expected from a car show, usually dedicated to just displaying brand new models and sales activities; it has become a place for all forms of automotive expression.
It lends itself to being the perfect platform for the Overland Kings (OK) brand. Known as a true outdoor enthusiast group, Overland has always prided itself on representing the very best of the outdoor experience. As a part of the 2026 festivities of MIAS, Overland Kings debuted the first-ever Overland Experience Grounds (OEG). This exhibit brought together the overlanding community to showcase what it means to be an Overlander, a growing and global community of people from all walks of life with a thirst for adventure.
2026 Overland Experience Grounds
The OEG, in true fashion, was stylized as a camping ground. Located in the open-air segment of the MIAS showcase, it featured a campout area complete with a tent setup and chairs for visitors to lounge in. All around the area were multiple booths from key brand partners who help complete the overland builds OK is known for.
OEG’s main inspiration comes from co-founder Joel Pedro’s idea of “Inspiring Exploration.” Each booth at the OEG featured brands and parts from the aftermarket scene, giving showgoers a look at what is possible when it comes to outdoor exploration. Any build done by the OK team has always been a bespoke experience; all customer projects are specific and unique to the individual who commissions it. This, along with OK’s guiding hand and experience, helps create the most unique adventure rigs.
Co-founder Jaye Lim emphasized during the event that each of the overlanding rigs displayed at the OEG is a reflection of each owner's exploration desires and tastes. Some builds featured the very latest in overlanding gear, from being able to have your own kitchen to fully converting your pickup bed to an RV. Lim says that OK is all about inclusivity; whether you own a hatchback or a full-on 4x4, overlanding is something everyone can experience. Innovation and adaptation remain a key part of the Overland Kings service, as they consider the present and future outlook of mobility. OK is beginning to explore and test new energy technology like EVs and hybrids to better enhance the overall experience for future customers.

From the most simple builds, all the way to the most complex, this varied and accomplished list of partners made the first-ever OEG offer the right products and services that complete the build for the budding Overlander.

As the Overlanding segment grew, OK has had the unique opportunity to work closely with key automotive manufacturers. Also part of the OEG display was a dressed-up Isuzu D-MAX, and the all-new 2026 Toyota Rav4.
Inside the main halls of the show itself, OK's presence was still felt through the bespoke Overland Kings editions of the GWM Cannon, Jetour T1, BAIC B30e, the all-new BAIC B40e Trailmaster, and finally the Radar EV EM-P. These projects highlight how the local automotive scene recognizes the unique experience OK can offer its buyers.
